Why Jenson didn’t race in Singapore

A real fast-track customer takes a break in Changi

The airline has opened its new lounge in Terminal 1 of Singapore’s Changi Airport, with racing driver Jenson Button among the first to make a pit stop. The new lounge is the first location to offer the airline’s new Concorde Bar, a private area exclusive to First customers.

It features digital panoramic views of the Singapore skyline reflecting the time of day outside, and displays artwork from established Singaporean and British artists, including Simon Wee and Dr Brendan Neiland.

Robert Williams, British Airways’ head of Asia Pacific sales, said: “Our new lounge caters to customers, like Jenson, who live life in the fast lane. It is specially designed to be an oasis of calm and tasteful luxury, enabling travellers to work or unwind.”
