A new mission for Special Services

Why premium customers are getting an enhanced service at Heathrow

The British Airways Special Services Team is a familiar part of the travelling experience for Premier Cardholders.

Now that team is getting a new name, new recruits and an extended remit.

It will now be known as The Concorde Team. It will still be based at London Heathrow, Terminal 5, but regular flyers will notice improvements in how they’re catered for as they travel through the airport.

You will soon be able to use our new personalised chair-side check-in at Terminal 5 when you arrive at the First Wing check-in area. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by a member of our team and invited to take a seat instead of queuing at the desk. You’ll be able to check in from the comfort of your chair and we’ll drop your bags off while you go directly to the lounge.

On departure, instead of taking the bus if the aircraft is on a remote stand, we’ll send a car to take you to the steps of the aircraft.

You will also be able take advantage of our baggage assistance service on arrival at Terminal 5. We’ll collect your baggage from the carousel and deliver it to you personally so that you can clear Customs and make your way out of the airport.

Chairman and CEO Alex Cruz commented: “The changes mean The Concorde Team will be able to spend more time offering the service you expect from us.”
